Daniele Colla - conductor Born in Italy in 1954, Daniele studied
piano and organ with private teachers. He received his grade 10 piano from the
Western Ontario Conservatory of Music, London, Ontario.
Daniele Colla has his M.Th from the
University of Toronto, Bachelor of Music from York University; as well as, Bachelor
of Philosophy from Rome University. He has taken many master courses with
well-known choral conductors such as Lydia Adams, Linda Beaupre,
BrainnerdBlyden-Taylor, Christopher Walker, John Ford.
Presently he is vocal and choral teacher
with the Toronto Catholic District Board, Organist and choir director at St.
Paschal Baylon’s Church both of adult and children choirs. Daniele is the founder and artistic
director of Coro San Marco; as well as, “Singing Together”, an annual
multicultural event in Toronto. On June 2nd, 2006, Daniele Colla received
the Knighthood of the Order of the Star of Solidarity from the president of the
Italian Republic: Carlo Azeglio Ciampi for his work in music.
